MMA (mixed martial arts) is not “fighting with no rules”. It is the most complete combat sport today: boxing, kicks, knees, takedowns, ground control and submissions within a technical, safety-first framework. In the cage — or on the gym mats — the winner is whoever commands more than one range, not just whoever hits hardest.
At DM Fight (Patraix, Valencia), MMA classes are built for real learning: stance, distance, defence, transitions and controlled sparring scenarios. You do not need cage-fighting experience or a background in another art; you need attitude, consistency and respect for your training partners.
Two worlds, one fight
On the feet: striking
Jab, cross, hook, low kick, front kick and defensive responses. We work guard, footwork and distance reading so you are never static or giving up the clinch by accident.
On the ground: grappling
Takedowns, side control, takedown defence, escapes and basic submissions. The ground is not “ugly fighting” — it is another grammar you study with the same patience as the jab.
What separates MMA from training boxing or wrestling alone is the space between ranges: how to move from striking to clinch, clinch to takedown, and how to stand up without eating a knee. That is the heart of our Monday, Wednesday and Friday sessions.
What we work every session
"MMA teaches you to think in layers: on the feet, in clinch, on the ground. Each layer is a language — and at the club you learn to speak them all."
Fundamentals
Stance, movement, head defence and contact rules. Always before intensity goes up.
Technical drills
Combinations, clinch entries, chained takedowns and short scenarios repeated until the body understands.
Controlled sparring
Rounds with a clear objective, protective gear when needed and coach feedback. It is not “you vs everyone”; it is learning under real pressure.
Who is it for?
No experience
You start with safe movements, close coaching and week-by-week progression. The first class is about rhythm, rules and feel — not proving anything.
Coming from Muay Thai or boxing
You leverage your striking and learn to defend takedowns, use the clinch and stay in the fight when distance changes.
Coming from wrestling or BJJ
You complete your game with standing striking, distance and entries that do not rely on a single shot. MMA forces you to be honest at every range.
Train with us
First class free. Bring comfortable clothes, water and a learning mindset. If you already train another discipline at the club, talk to the coach about joining MMA sessions at the right pace.
